Michael Staples (pictured above) and his four books are currently being featured in the En Bloc Bookstore.
Michael Anthony Staples has worked for more than two
decades as a newspaper reporter in the province of New
Brunswick, Canada. He specializes in military issues and traveled extensively
with Canadian troops in the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s. He also
accompanied Canadian peace keepers to Haiti during the 2004 rebellion and has
written in detail on the war in Afghanistan. Staples has also worked closely
with police forces and the judicial system in the coverage of criminal issues
and those associated with law and order. He lives in Fredericton.
Robert Ronsson's 'Olympic Mind Games' is currently being featured in the En Bloc Bookstore.
Robert has been writing full time since 2005. He finished his first novel that year - thirty years after starting it. It was shortlisted in the Yeovil Literary Prize but remains unpublished.
He self-published his second novel - this one for children - in 2007. It is called 'Olympic Mind Games'. It was long-listed for the AC Black Novel Competition and has since sold approaching 9000 copies in the UK and USA.
The draft submission package for his current project 'The Spaniard's Wife' was short-listed for the Impress Prize for New Writers and long-listed for the 'wannabe a writer' New Novel Competition. Robert hopes to comp
lete the National Academy of Writing Diploma in Creative Writing at Birmingham City University this year.
In 2008, he had three pieces published in the Academy’s anthology 'Finding a Voice'. His short stories have won three national competitions and been runners-up or highly-commended six times.
